The Gospel Story.

Its another co-author series and this time it’s a story, one you’ve probably heard before but not this way…pretty sure. Brace yourself and let’s hear the gospel story from Ojei Favour.

The Gospel story is likened to the story of a King who is referred to as “the Great owner”. He built a great mansion from what was formless and dark. Everything that was made and fashioned out was done by him ” The Great Owner”. The great owner fashioned out living creatures to dwell and multiply in this mansion.

However, he made one different, and the peculiarity of this one was that unlike the other creatures, he made them not just to multiply and fill the Mansion but also to carry his image and show forth his likeness. Thus, he made them in his image and likeness and he named them ” the ones He loves”. Then the great owner put these category of creation as the ruler of this mansion, the ruler of His created World. They were made to subdue and dominate the Mansion.

The great owner had given the ones he loves only one instruction and the consequence of disobeying that instruction was death. Not too long after the great owner had given all authority to the ones He loves, ” the deceptive snake” came to plant the seed of unbelief in the heart of the ones he loves.

“You will not certainly die… For he knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like Him, knowing good and evil”.

So man fell primarily because of unbelief of the words and the instructions of “The Great owner” and the punishment of death was upon him. However, because of the love of ” The Great owner”, He never left the ones he loved. He remained and sought a lasting solution that would restore man to his original intention for creating him and back to his original place of authority.

The ones he loved had lost all hope because they felt he had wronged “The Great owner” and from that day in the Garden man felt ashamed to stand before the ” The Great owner”. “Who told you that you were naked?. Since then till now man thinks he always needs to do something to stand worthy of “The Great owner” and whenever he feels he can’t, he feels condemned and ashamed. So “The Great owner” planned a redemption plan for man to live the original plan in which God had fashioned him .

Howbeit, “the great owner” from that time began to create temporal means for man to live in fellowship with him. The Law was made, atonement for sins by the blood of animals was formed. The ones he loved were carrying the penalty of death on their head and thus could not carry his presence, so the ark of covenant was made. But because all these were temporal means, the ones God loves kept falling again and again but “The Great Owner” never left the one he loves.

For the ones God loves to be redeemed they needed one with a different nature, they needed one who had never sinned, someone who was perfect, they needed one who was to bear the penalty for the punishment once and for all for all mankind. This criteria was too high for any man to have, so “The Great owner” in his great love for man sent his only begotten son who bears his own nature and was perfect like him to bear the punishment for the ‘ones he loves’ and create a lasting solution for the ‘ones he loves’.

“The Great owner” sent his son to live among the ‘ones he loves’ and come to this mansion in the form of the ‘ones he loves’ and pass through what the ‘one he loves’ pass through. He even encountered “the deceptive snake” and conquered him and when it was time and when he had walked in the mansion proclaiming who he was. He died ( both physically and spiritually) and bore the consequences of man’s sin.

Now!!! There is a lasting solution for man to enjoy a lasting fellowship with “The Great owner” without feeling condemned. Now! Man can confidently live the God life and receive this life. Remember, that the primary reason why men fell was unbelief and now for man to be saved he needs to believe in God’s Son Jesus. This is the lasting solution to believe in “The Great owner’s ” son Jesus and whosoever believes in this son will not perish, will never be condemned, will accept the full price paid for him.

“The Great owner” purchased the Mansion back and gave it to the ones who He loves and now they can live the life of total Dominion and constant fellowship with “the great owner”. The full price has been paid we don’t carry a penalty of death and best of all we can enjoy is constant fellowship with the Father, because when we believe in Jesus, the Father sees his Son in us and we are redeemed by his blood.

This is the Gospel that Jesus is the Messiah and Savior.
Rom.10.9 – because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom.10.10 – For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
For you to be saved and accept Jesus confess these words aloud I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and he died and resurrected for me and by his resurrection I am redeemed.
